Account verification (KYC)
We verify every account to keep the platform safe and to meet anti-money laundering rules. Here's what that involves.
Two levels of checks
Basic checks at sign-up. When you register, we check your name, date of birth and country of residence against sanctions lists, PEP lists and adverse media. Most people never notice this step.
Full verification. Required for withdrawals over USD 1,000, and in some cases when a transaction or the basic check raises questions.
Documents for full verification
- A government-issued photo ID (front and back for some documents). It must be valid for at least 3 more months.
- A selfie of you holding that same ID.
- Proof of address issued within the last 3 months: a utility bill, bank statement or official government letter showing your full name and address.
For company accounts we ask for the certificate of incorporation, articles, a recent extract from the trade register (no older than 3 months) and ID documents for directors and beneficial owners.
Timing
- Once we request documents, please send them within 5 calendar days. Otherwise the account may be temporarily restricted.
- Checks usually take up to 3 business days. Complex cases can take up to 10, and we'll tell you if that happens.
- You'll get an email with the result: approved, rejected or more documents needed.
Who can't be verified
We can't open or verify accounts for residents of the USA and its territories, the United Kingdom and its territories, EU member states and their territories, FATF blacklisted countries, and other jurisdictions where the regulator prohibits the service. Using a VPN or proxy to hide your location isn't allowed. You must be 18 or older.
